We've always been told that snacking too much isn’t healthy and can cause us to gain weight, right? I mean, who doesn’t enjoy a crunchy bag of chips or few (dozen) pieces of chocolate every now and again! But, if you’re on the ketogenic diet then picking up that salty bag of carbs probably isn’t the best choice.
So, to help you indulge in these cravings, we went around the office and asked some of the team to share some of their favorite keto-friendly snacks.
Here we will include our Best Snacks for Keto from the Complete Wellness Team that are quick, easy, and (best of all) keeps you in ketosis! Â

DARK CHOCOLATE
You’re as surprised as we were, but chocolate IS keto-friendly! However, it doesn’t apply to all varieties of chocolates so be careful.
You want to make sure that you choose a dark chocolate that made of at least 70% or more cocoa solids. The more cocoa solids mean there’s less sugar content and most of the calories come from the fat content.
STRING CHEESE
What better way to reconnect with your inner child than to tear apart a link of cheese?
What’s amazing about string cheese is that it provides you with a healthy mix of fats and proteins to curb any cravings you may have. Not only do they help control your appetite, but they’re incredibly convenient, super fun to rip apart and have absolutely zero carbs!
MEATY JERKY
This isn’t most people’s first choice, but we have a soft spot for some good jerky.
Jerky is an excellent way to get a good amount of protein, but it is also naturally low in calories and sugar. Next to being a great source of protein, jerky is also full of healthy fats, so it’s almost a keto favorite!
PORK RINDS
Okay, before you completely say no to this, just hear me out.
We know at first sight it doesn’t seem like something you’d want to snack on, but remember earlier when I said those crispy chips aren’t keto? Well, if you’re craving something crunchy and flavorful then pork rinds are right up your alley!
Almost all pork rinds have close to zero carbs total and are simply just pure fat and protein! They also come in a variety of flavors from original, spicy, and even BBQ, if you can find them
PICKLES
Although there’s not much nutritional content to these, pickles are still a great snack for anyone on the keto diet.
They don’t have any fat or protein content, so you won’t get any benefits from that, but they also have just about zero carbs, similarly to pork rinds.
The plus side is that they have about zero calories but be sure to get pickles that are stored in liquid that contains no high fructose corn syrup or you’ll be adding secret sugars to your snacking!

Pork Rinds are GREAT for making Nachos without tortilla chips!
I ALWAYS take a bag right into a Mexican Restaurant! I tell them I can eat chips so that always say it’s fine! Then I can enjoy salsa, queso dip, guacamole & fajita meat and veggies and build my own nachos!
