Here we’ll discuss some of our favorite foods that are full of good fats and completely Keto-friendly.

  1. Avocado

    Unlike most fruits, which usually have high-carbs, avocados are abundantly packed with essential monounsaturated fatty acids, ‘MUFAs,’ and polyunsaturated fatty acids, ‘PUFAs.’

    Among the best sources for potassium, avocados are also filled with fiber which assists in lowering LDL cholesterol and triglycerides (bad) and increasing HDL cholesterol (good).

    And oleic ccid, the main fatty acid in avocados, has been shown to have significant effects on reducing blood pressure.
  2. Fatty Fish

    Various types of fish and shellfish are practically low-carb or carb free and very Keto-friendly.

    High in Omega-3 fatty acids, loaded with proteins, and rich in nutrients like B vitamins and potassium, fish like salmon, mackerel, and sardines have been linked to reduced insulin levels, lower risk of disease, and even improve mental health.
  3. Nuts

    One of the healthiest foods, nuts are full of heart-healthy fats and fiber and are a great source of plant protein.

    Not only are nuts a low-carb food, they also are very high in vitamin E and magnesium.

    Nuts have been linked to lowering the risk of heart disease, obesity, and several other diseases.
  4. Coconut and Coconut Oils

    The fats in coconuts differ from most types of fats. They consist mostly of medium-chain triglycerides, ‘MCTs,’ which are used directly by the liver and turned into ketones.

    The MCTs have been shown to help lower appetite, boost the metabolism, and even help you lose belly fat.
  5. Dark Chocolate

    Not only is it delicious, but dark chocolate is also high in fat and essential minerals like iron, copper, and magnesium.

    It contains potent antioxidants and flavanols that help reduce blood pressure, risk of heart disease, and keeping your arteries clean.
